APPLICATIONS
Following is an illustration of some products suitable for transportation in liner bags:
• Free-flowing: PVC/PP/PP/PE/PET resins, alumina resin, pigments, silica sand,
fertilizer, fishmeal, milk powder, corn, salt, sugar, rice, coffee beans, flour, etc.
• Non-free flowing products: cement, fly ash, slag powder, kaolin powder,
limestone powder, TIO2, Starch, etc.
Two examples how liner systems are used to optimize bulk logistics and cut costs:
Example 1:
Case:
A producer of special types of cement uses jumbo bags on pallets in 20ft standard containers to transport the cement to customers around the world. Two to three employees are responsible for loading the jumbo bags and preparing the container.
Packaging: 20 jumbo bags à 1 metric ton on pallets
Optimization with our liner system:
• Packaging costs can be reduced by up to 60%
• Loading of the container can be handled by one person (truck driver) –
reduction of labor costs
• Loading time can be reduced by more than 70%
Cost saving potential:
160,000 € p.a. by a volume of 20,000 metric tons a year
Example 2:
Case:
A producer of vanadium is transporting grounded vanadium slag from South Africa to Europe.
Packaging: 10 jumbo bags à 2 metric tons on pallets.
Optimization with our liner system:
• Packaging costs can be reduced by up to 50%
• Loading of the container can be handled by one person (truck driver) –
reduction of labor costs
• Loading time can be reduced by more than 70%
• Unloading time can be reduced by more than 75%
Cost saving potential:
320,000 € p.a. by a volume of 50,000 metric tons a year
